Salinas, CA – November 2025. Step back in time and experience the magic of Monterey County's heritage at Illumination at the Adobe! The Monterey County Historical Society invites you to an enchanting, family-friendly holiday evening at the historic Boronda Adobe.

About the Event:
Join us for a festive open house celebrating the warmth and traditions of early Monterey. The Boronda Adobe will glow with Christmas décor, candlelight, and the sounds of Spanish Colonial and Mexican Republic–era music—evoking the spirit of a bygone age. As twilight falls, the adobe will come alive in brilliant illumination, creating a scene straight from history. Enjoy complimentary Pozole, Butternut Squash soup, artisan breads and Mexican Hot Cocoa. Visit our museum to see the latest progress on our new historical exhibits and vignettes.
