Fisherman's Wharf Association is holding its FREE annual Monterey’s Old Fisherman’s Wharf 178th Birthday Celebration for all ages at historic Old Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey, California, on Sunday, October 8th.  

 

Here’s the details of the birthday party you won’t want to miss…

 

When: Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

 

Where: Monterey’s Old Fisherman’s Wharf (GPS to 101 Washington Street, Monterey, CA)

             

What: This FREE family-friendly event will feature an array of fun activities:

 

•           Live entertainment by The Money Band from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

•           Dazzling Mermaid Stilt Walker and a Pirate Stilt Walker from Youphoric Entertainment from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

•           Storm Troopers on site for fun photo ops

•           A commemoration of the Argentine sailor pirate Hippolyte Bouchard who raided and occupied Monterey in 1818. Come in a pirate or sailor costume and take “selfies” with pirate statues at Pirate’s Cove on the Wharf

David comes from a radio background that spans over 40 years. He currently hosts a radio show every Saturday morning called the “Shag Bag” on 1460 AM/101 FM KION, as well as Sundays with Sinatra: Live from Old Fisherman’s Wharf on KMBY 1240 AM/95.9 FM every Sunday morning LIVE from the Wharf. David spent many years working at the Monterey County Convention & Visitors Bureau promoting the region. He is highly regarded as “Monterey’s Emcee” and hosts many local functions and fundraisers including Festa Italia, Santa Rosalia Queen’s Coronation Ball, La Merienda, the City of Monterey’s Annual Birthday Celebration, Old Fisherman’s Wharf’s Annual Birthday Party, and the Italian Heritage Society Awards Ceremony.  David is the Winner of BEST TV/RADIO PERSONALITY in Monterey Herald Readers Poll. And the 3-time winner of the PGA Media Person of the Year Award.
