Monterey Scottish Games & Celtic Festival Photo Contests Launched in Collaboration with the Padres Trail Camera Club

The Monterey Scottish Games & Celtic Festival and Padre Trails Camera Club have teamed up to launch two photo contests involving photos of the colorful Monterey Scottish Games & Celtic Festival.  

For 2016, entrants are asked to submit one photo from their visit to the Monterey Scottish Games & Celtic Festival over the past 3 years at the Monterey County Fair & Event Center.    Entrants should email their submission to [email protected] no later than June 30, 2016. Submitted image should be a JPEG and sized within a maximum 1024 pixels in width and 768 pixels in height. Representatives from the Padre Trail Camera Club and Wendy Brickman will head up the panel of judges and decisions will be made by July 20, 2016.

Three winners will receive a pair of tickets ($30 advance price value for each pair)  to the upcoming 49th Annual Monterey Scottish Games & Celtic Festival at the Monterey County Fair & Event Center to be held on August  6 and 7, 2016. The photos will be judged by the basic elements of a good photographic image, composition, exposure, subject interest, sharpness, and creativity.  In addition, capturing the look and feel of the Festival, including excellent action/motion and multigenerational depiction.  For any questions, call (831) 633-4444 or email [email protected].  

A second collaborative 2017 Monterey Scottish Games & Celtic Festival photo contest in association with the Padre Trails Camera Club is also being launched  now for 2017 which will be the commemorative 50th Monterey Scottish Games & Celtic Festival. Attendees of this year’s August 6 and 7, 2016 event, will be asked to submit a photo from their visit to the 2016 Festival later in the year.
