Four New Exhibits to Open at the Pacific Grove Art Center on display from July 4-August 28, 2025

Pacific Grove Art Center, located at 568 Lighthouse Avenue in Pacific Grove, is pleased to announce the opening of four new exhibits, on display from Friday, July 4 through Thursday, August 28, 2025.
Please come to the Pacific Grove Art Center (PGAC) on Friday, July 4 from 6-8 pm to enjoy all new exhibits. The musical guest is Glenn Leon-Guerrero on keyboards. Admission to the PGAC is made possible through your donations. Please give generously!
The four exhibits include the following:
PGAC Studio Artist’, Gill Gallery
“We are proud to present a sampling of the creative work generated by our studio artists. The Art Center exists to provide our community with a place to experience and express its creative spirit. We support that creative endeavor through a variety of programs and collaborations that give back to the community. A number of these artists contribute through exhibitions, as well as teaching workshops, classes, and volunteering.’ According to Kim Moreno, General Manager.
Anastasiya Bachmanova – Beneath Pacific Skies, Dyke Gallery
This exhibition, Beneath Pacific Skies, offers a glimpse into the many moods of our treasured Central Coast seascapes. It’s the culmination of many years striving to perfect the ever-changing, and ever-inspiring essence of my adopted seaside home. From vibrant cliffside poppies straddling idyllic North Coast nooks, to moody sand dune vistas, this collection presents the viewer with an assortment of enchanting perspectives to inspire and uplift.
MBPAPA Signature Members – Full Spectrum, Annand Gallery
Monterey Bay Plein Air Painters Association’ represents the fine art of painting outside on site. Traditionally competition plein air is required to have been painted 80% to 85% outside on site. MBPAPA offers weekly paint outs, demos, workshops, exhibitions and contests. “Full Spectrum” is a juried show for their Signature members only. The well-known Stan Robbins is the esteemed judge and Juror.
Tiny Treasures – PGAC’s Annual Fundraiser, Boyer Gallery & Small Halls
Every year generous and talented artist from our local community contribute unique miniature artwork for this exciting fundraiser, “Tiny Treasures.” Treasures indeed! Over 100 pieces of art were donated this year, consisting of the following media: oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, printmaking, collage, pencil, ink, mixed media, photography, sculpture, textile, stained glass and more!
Each miniature will be displayed with a "box" from July 4th - August 28th where patrons will deposit their purchased raffle tickets. At the close of the show, one winning ticket will be drawn for each piece of art.
This myriad display of creativity features the talent of artists who kindly support our mission of cultivating the arts within the Monterey area by providing creative experiences that inspire and engage us, touch our hearts, challenge our minds and enrich our lives.
About the Pacific Grove Art Center
Since 1969, the Pacific Grove Art Center (PGAC) has been a cornerstone of the Monterey Peninsula arts community. As a community-based nonprofit, PGAC is dedicated to cultivating the arts through creative experiences that inspire, engage, and enrich lives. For over five decades, PGAC has ensured art remains accessible to all by offering low-cost classes, free exhibits, and affordable artist studios.
The Art Center presents a dynamic lineup of rotating exhibits that change every regularly, each one launched with a First Friday New Exhibit Opening. PGAC features four distinct galleries—Nadine Annand Gallery, David Henry Gill Gallery, Elmarie Dyke Gallery, and Louise Cardeiro Boyer Gallery—each showcasing a wide variety of artistic disciplines including painting, photography, sculpture, encaustic, fabric arts, mixed media, and more. Both emerging and established artists are professionally exhibited, with group shows often serving as a launching point for new artists.
PGAC is also home to seventeen professional artist studios that provide dedicated creative spaces for local talent. A robust educational program includes art and movement classes for adults, as well as after-school, weekend, summer, and year-round programs for children and teens ages 8 to 17. Scholarships are available to ensure these opportunities are open to all young artists.
More than a gallery, PGAC serves as a vibrant hub for community and culture. It regularly hosts music performances, cultural events, and special gatherings that combine art, food, and live entertainment. The Center is also proud to be the home of the Peninsula Ballet Center.
PGAC’s historic galleries are available for rental, offering a unique and artistic backdrop for private events and special occasions.
The continued success of PGAC relies on generous donations, grants, and the dedication of volunteers. Community support is vital, especially during challenging times.
